Just fantastic. String of achingly beautiful songs, sung with passion and a real feel for his audience. Nice mix of solo material and Go-Betweens classics. Band seemed to really enjoy themselves and it showed. Nature doesn’t bestow songwriting skills of this magnitude on many!!

Robert Forster & Band, The Fleece, Bristol - 15th May 2019
Much to like about this gig. The venue is a bit special. The current touring band play superbly. They’ve got a really “classic” sound. The set list had some lovely surprises from the past, and the current material sounds so much better live. Robert sang and played so well, and his Dylan-esque harmonica on certain tracks was the cherry on the cake. Unforgettable. If you’ve got any interest in the go-betweens or Robert, get a ticket for this tour. You won’t regret it.

Robert Forster & Band, Union Chapel, London - 14th May 2019
I’m not familiar with Robert’s latest work so I approached this concert with an open mind. I attended most of his previous gigs when he was front man for the Go Betweens. At the very outset I knew I was in for a treat. New and old songs were seamlessly intermingled in the old Go Betweens style but this time, with excellent band members, there was a freshness and more professional quality to the music. Stunning lead guitarist! As time moved on the music just got better as the band seemed to relax into it, fed by an enthusiastic audience. The venue, the Union Chapel, is a wonderful venue and the whole experience will remain with me for a long while.
